Kaffe Fassett & Brandon Mably Orchard Workshop from book: "Kaffe Quilts at an English Manor House"

The workshop is based on the Orchard quilt pattern in Kaffe Fassett’s book, Quilts at an English Manor
House. This is a variation of the very first quilt, Rosie, Kaffe designed 30 years ago. This is a class
suitable for beginners who already know how to sew a seam and how to use a rotary cutter. It is also for
more advanced quilters who wish to concentrate on complex colour development.
The workshop is one full day, running from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm with an hour for lunch at 12:30 pm.
BEFORE THE CLASS
Pick a colour palette that you would like explore and bring fabrics in your chosen palette. Be sure to bring a
selection of small, medium and large-scale prints in light, medium and dark value of your chosen palette.
NOTE: Please feel free to bring any fabrics that you would like to use in the class - these do not have to be
Kaffe Fassett Collective fabrics.
Please do not cut fabrics before class.
You will only be using squares of the following sizes, 9.5” and 3.5”
After the workshop, follow the instructions in the book.
Please note: No sewing takes place during the workshop.
SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS
Brandon will be able to assist you in selecting colours and patterns to use in your quilt.
Kaffe and Brandon will sign books following the workshop.
