Alaska Quilt Class with Kelly March 22nd 2025 @The Hive Retreat House
Alaska Quilt Size is 71.5in x 71.5in. This beautiful quilt looks wonderful in any color combinations. It is perfect for a block of the month project and uses just 6 fabrics for the entire quilt. The pattern includes paper templates to complete the project.
Kelly prefers to make this quilt bigger to fit a Queen Bed. The 12" Quilt Block version she teaches in this class.
This beautiful Alaska Rainbow quilt pattern can be purchased. You can kit it however you want, Beehive Quilt Shop made a Rainbow Quilt Version from Moda Grunge Fabrics. Each Color and print is labeled.

75/11 or favorite piecing needle
Wedge Star Ruler UDT18 (Studio 180) - ON ORDER - Required
----The Alaska pattern includes paper templates to complete the project, however the Wedge Ruler is required for this class. (Do NOT purchase the Creative Grids Alaska Ruler for this class).

2 Pattern Options:
Alaska Quilt Pattern is in several colors/number of prints. The Most Popular versions are Rainbow Version or Blue Version (6 Print)
The Alaska Quilt Pattern has four different versions of the "Same" quilt, but cutting instructions are different, and the patterns are totally separate patterns.)
The Blue Version has 6 Fabrics of shades of Blue and Cream (Kit not currently available)
The Rainbow has 23 Fabrics (Kit Available in Moda Grunge)
Fabric Requirements for 9" is written on the back of the pattern. If you are taking the class and would like the fabric requirements is listed below.
Rainbow Alaska Fabric Requirements for 12" Block (Larger than pattern is written for but Kelly said this is the most popular size of block)
