AccuQuilt Machine Embroidery Class
Learn how to download FREE embroidery files from the Accuquilt website to use with many of their applique shaped dies. Then stitch one of the applique shapes, which we will cut out in class on the accuquilt, onto a dish towel and embellish. You do NOT need to own an Accuquilt cutter to take this class.
Did you know that all applique AccuQuilt Dies come with a free machine embroidery download? Annarose will walk you through the proccess of how to download a embroidery file from online, and save it to a flash drive and or send it to your machine. You are not required to bring your embroidery machine to class - we will demo this using our Beehive laptop and Beehive XP3 Luminiare and a NQ1700E ($1,999) embroidery machine. So you can experience a beginner machine and an advanced embroidery machine.
Class Location: The Beehive Brother Classroom/AccuQuilt Studio (120 N. Washington Ave). Right next to Beehive Quilt Shop
What to bring to class:
Laptop or Tablet with a Flash Drive/USB port
Flash Drive or 2G or 1G Flash Drive (Anything larger is not necessary)
*List of any AccuQuilt Applique Dies you already own or are thinking about purchasing
What we will cover:
-How to have an AccuQuilt Profile/Log In
-How to download AccuQuilt FREE machine Embroidery Patterns
-How to store and save your machine embroidery files on your computer
-Best practices of using flash drives to move pattern designs
-How to read an AccuQuilt Pattern (Cutting charts are different)
-Annarose will demo how to cut fabric with and without a fusible web (Heat n Bond or Steam A Seam, etc)
-How to use different types of material (flannel, Jeans, Felt, Wool, etc) for Applique Dies
We will have time for questions and answers. The class will last for sure 2 hours, and might be up to 3 with how many questions you have or experiments we want to test out!
