Have a drawer full of old T-shirts too sentimental to toss? Turn them into something beautiful and lasting! In this hands-on class, you'll learn how to transform your favorite shirts into a cozy, custom quilt — perfect for preserving memories and creating heartfelt gifts for graduations, weddings, anniversaries, and more.
Whether you're new to quilting or looking for a creative new project, this class will guide you through every step, from prepping your shirts to piecing and finishing your one-of-a-kind quilt. Come with a stack of well-loved tees, and leave with a timeless keepsake full of stories.
What to bring:- 20-25 t-shirts
- 1 package of Quilt - Tee Fusible 60x72 inch piece of interfacing (you can get 16 squares (15"x 15") from one package
(you will have one strip 12" x 60" to use for other blocks or another project )
(enough for 16 T-Shirts)
- Sharp scissors to cut shirts apart
- Sewing machine and basic sewing notions
- Thread 100% Cotton Aurifil 50 weight (standard quilt piecing thread)
- Precut shirts apart @ side seams
- 2 Yards Sashing & 1st Inner Border
The class will be held on April 16th
A Commercial T-Shirt Press will be available to Fuse Your the Stabilizer to the Back of Your T-shirts at a Fee of $1.50 Per Press
If shirts are cut prior to class the fusing can be completed prior to class. Bring shirts and the non-cut Tee Fusible to the Beehive Quilt Shop
