Learn to use Couching Decorative Quilting and Embroidery
Couching a quilt is the process of utilizing yarn instead of traditional thread to quilt fabric. Different effects can be achieved by playing with various types of yarn and thickness. Couching requires a proper sewing machine foot that can handle the larger yarn.
We will provide Couching Yarn to Practice with.
Kit will include Small Kimberbell Zipper Pouch to practice couching and decorative Stitches with. We will use a variety of techniques to embelish this zipper bag.
Ideas of what to couch in the future: Jean Quilts, Tote Bags, Sweatshirts and Garments, Art quilts, postcards, applique, baby quilts and more!
